U-Haul Offers 30 Days of Free Self-Storage to Tornado Victims in Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul Company of Northern Alabama is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to Alabama residents who were affected by the multiple tornadoes that touched down earlier this week.

Twisters ripped through a number of homes throughout the northern and central region of Alabama, causing significant damage across a widespread area on Thursday evening.

"The storms were devastating to this area, and we want to assist our neighbors," said Chuck Newell, U-Haul Company of Northern Alabama president. "Many homes were damaged. Families that suffered losses may need a secure place to store their things until they can get back on their feet. We want to help in any way we can."
