Turkcell Subsidiary life:) Announces CEO Appointment

ISTANBUL--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Turkcell’s (NYSE: TKC) (BIST: TCELL) wholly-owned subsidiary life:) announced the appointment of Burak Ersoy as its new CEO. Mr. Ersoy will take the helm at the Ukrainian operator as of October 1st, 2015.

Burak Ersoy joins life:) from Turkcell Turkey, where he was the Senior Vice-President of Retail and Distribution. Prior to this position, he served as Chief Consumer Sales Officer, Small Business Director, and Consumer Sales Channels Manager at Turkcell. He had joined Turkcell, life:)’s parent company, in 2006.

life :) became the first GSM operator to introduce 3G to Ukraine in May with the support of Turkcell. At the end of June, Turkcell took a further step in demonstrating its commitment to the Ukrainian market as it became the sole owner of life :).

Mr. Erdal Yayla, who has been successfully executing the role of acting CEO since January 2014 will continue to be a part of the life:) team as the Chief Financial Officer.
