BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/04/16 -- TrueMotion, a technology company that leverages the power of data and mobile technology to address the growing problem of distracted driving, is on the move. The company opened doors at corporate headquarters in Boston's Innovation District, after a year of explosive growth which saw the company more than double in size, raise a Series A, secure one of the world's largest insurance companies as a customer and unveil a new name and brand identity.

"We've got a new name and brand identity, and now a new home in a neighborhood that's perfect for our people and our future growth," said Vance Loiselle, CEO of TrueMotion. "From the Harvard Innovation Labs to the Innovation District, we're putting big data, mobile apps and cloud computing to work to help people become better drivers and help make the roads safer for all."

The new office, located at 186 Lincoln Street, will encompass nearly 7,000 square feet, enough to house its current 35 employees with an eye toward continued expansion. The office is a stone's throw from South Station and a skip to local coffee shops, gyms and restaurants. The office brings to life the whimsy of TrueMotion's new brand identity with walls adorned by custom artwork that tells the story of driving behavior through large printed graphs of data pulled and processed from the company's mobile app.

TrueMotion combines cloud software, data science and mobile technology into a single solution for leading insurance companies which use it to measure risk and reward good drivers. TrueMotion includes a downloadable mobile app that captures and helps improve driver behavior; a big data platform that provides clean, comprehensive driving activity and a management and analytics dashboard that allows an insurance company to manage and improve customer relationships through a Usage Based Insurance (UBI) program. This summer, TrueMotion will launch a consumer version of the app under its own brand.

In the Fall of 2012, TrueMotion was accepted into Harvard Innovation Labs, a cross-disciplinary ecosystem for the Harvard community to explore innovation and entrepreneurship. Harvard Innovation Labs began in 2011 with the opening of the i-lab, which focuses on providing current students from any Harvard school with resources to foster innovation, including experiential programming, mentor support and a 12-week Venture Incubation Program. In 2014, Harvard Innovation Labs expanded with the opening of the Launch Lab, offering eligible Harvard alumni with high-potential startups co-working space, business building programming and access to advisors. TrueMotion moved into the Launch Lab that same year.

"TrueMotion is one of the largest 'graduates' of the Harvard Innovation Labs, and we will miss the buzz and energy from their team," said Jodi Goldstein, Managing Director of the Harvard Innovation Labs. "We're so proud of what they've been able to accomplish in such a short time, and wish them nothing but the best."

"The i-lab and Launch Lab supported us until we were ready to make this move rather than forcing us to move on directly after graduation," said Joe Adelmann, a Harvard graduate and co-founder of TrueMotion. "We're taking our next step as a company from a position of strength rather than leaping with our fingers crossed."
