Timmons Group Provides Engineering for 5.7-Acre Active Adult Community

Timmons Group, a leading engineering firm located in Ashburn, VA, signed a contract to provide civil engineering services for the Lansdowne Congregate Living Facility. Located in Loudoun County, this premier, active adult community spans 5.7 acres and includes full service facilities and recreational amenities on-site for its residents. In addition to state-of-the-art fitness and aerobics facilities, this 162 suite facility offers a chapel, bank and beauty salon.

Led by Hawthorn, a leader in senior living for more than 30 years, Lansdowne Congregate Living Facility's site was chosen because of its close proximity to the Inova Loudoun Hospital Center and numerous other associated medical office buildings. The addition of the congregate living facility will provide an important element to the mix of uses offered in the eastern portion of Lansdowne.

"Congregate living facilities are low traffic generators, have no impact on schools, provide jobs, and allows local seniors to remain in the area," said Bill Vest, Senior Project Manager of Timmons Group. The project will be subject to the Lansdowne Conservancy design guidelines and design review process to assure high quality development on the site as envisioned by the PD-MUB district. Timmons Group will provide full civil site engineering and survey services for this project
