Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. Announces Appointment of Group General Counsel

HAMILTON, Bermuda, Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. (NYSE: TPRE) ("Third Point Re" or the "Company") announced today that Janice Weidenborner has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and Group General Counsel, effective January 1, 2016.

Ms. Weidenborner joins Third Point Re after serving as General Counsel for Ariel Reinsurance ("Ariel Re"), where she was responsible for all aspects of Ariel Re's Legal and Compliance functions.  Prior to Ariel Re, Ms. Weidenborner spent over 20 years at the ACE Group (and one of its predecessors, CIGNA P&C) where she held various roles including Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Regional Compliance Officer, ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd., Associate General Counsel, ACE Tempest Reinsurance Ltd., and General Counsel, ACE Financial Solutions International.
