May 31, 2016 5:13 AM EDT

WASHINGTON, May 31, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Unity and solidarity will be the evening's theme on January 20, 2017, as our Veterans and Veterans Service Organizations come together on the night of the Presidential Inauguration to honor and celebrate America's next Commander in Chief.

At the premier Veterans Presidential Inaugural Ball our Veteran VIPs, along with supporters and policymakers from the nation's capital and around the country, will make their way down a black carpet to the entrance of the historic Hay-Adams hotel.

"It is a joyous day in America when the most impactful public servants come together to celebrate and honor a common enterprise, "said Assal Ravandi, CEO of the Academy of United States Veterans. "Together we are stronger."

The Academy has planned an evening to remember, from a step and repeat backdrop sign where the host sponsors [Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart and Paralyzed Veterans of America] and supporters such as USAA, Security Technologies Inc., Disabled Veteran Business Alliance, Ameritel Corporation, Baron Tours, Tully Rinckey PLLC and Steelman Partners can capture commemorative photos, to the main event amid the breathtaking panoramic views of Washington, DC. From the roof of one of the city's most prestigious hotels, attendees will enjoy a coveted view of the White House at this private, intimate event to honor America's veterans.

"This evening is about the leadership legacy of our country," said Ravandi. "And we are bringing together the foremost veterans service organizations, active military members, and key decision-makers and supporters to ensure our nations' veterans remain front-and-center in the public and policy consciousness."  (www.theveteransinauguralball.com)
