Des Plaines, IL (PRWEB) October 09, 2015

The mission of the Law Offices of Rabin, Kodner & Brown is to provide effective, aggressive and compassionate representation to persons with disabilities seeking SSDI and SSI benefits from the Social Security Administration.

Rabin first became involved with the Alliance through clients his firm assisted. "My work on behalf of disabled individuals seeking Social Security Disability and SSI benefits brought me into contact with many of the agencies which make up the Alliance," said Rabin.

The Alliance brings together homeless support agencies, mental health facilities, government agencies and community members to help coordinate and support the battle against homelessness. He was first asked to join the North/Northwest suburban service area of the Alliance, and then was elected to the Board of Directors of the Alliance.

This August, Rabin will enter his new role as Board President with some goals in mind."One of my goals for 2015-16 will be to complete the creation of a streamlined and more efficient unified means for the community to access homelessness services via the Internet, telephone and with street outreach."

This goal aligns with one of the main missions of the Alliance. In addition to coordinating HUD funding, the Alliance works with its affiliates in long range planning, information technology to increase the efficiency of bringing services to this mobile population, and support for agencies in planning and implementing their strategies to reduce homelessness.

The Alliance, which serves the suburban Cook County area, is led by a Board of Directors composed of representatives from across the spectrum of suburban Cook County. The Board is currently composed of members from county-wide organization, local government officials, Cook County staff, the Veteran's Administration, as well as community members.

Rabin also serves his community through positions within other service organizations. He is on the Board of Directors of NAMI-DuPage and served two terms on the Deerfield District 109 School Board. He uses his knowledge and experience to educate the disabled community by speaking frequently throughout Northern Illinois on SSDI/SSI issues and publishing a monthly newsletter on current Social Security disability topics.
