Texas Chiropractic College Launches Presidential Search

PASADENA, Texas, May 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) Board of Regents is pleased to announce a nation-wide search to identify and select the 15th President in TCC's 108 year history, and invites applications and recommendations for the Presidency.  Since 1908, Texas Chiropractic College has championed a scientific and evidence-informed approach to educating Practice-Ready doctors of chiropractic. Rigorous classroom and hands-on training empower TCC graduates as skilled, thoughtful and ethical doctors of chiropractic dedicated to providing patient-centered care. TCC advances the chiropractic profession by pioneering scholarship and research that aids in the production of transformative knowledge and ideas. 

The current administration at Texas Chiropractic College has set the stage for success with recent growth in enrollment, organizational restructuring, fiscal stability and numerous campus improvements.  Renovations to the campus plant have been actualized in three of the eight buildings, new technology has been added to all the classrooms, and there has been an increase in scientific research and publications by faculty and staff.  The academic program has added new business content to better prepare the future doctors and meet our mission of preparing Practice-Ready doctors of chiropractic.  The next President will continue to make a difference for the students, the community and the chiropractic profession. 

A delegation of board members has been named to the presidential search committee, led by Dr. Monte Blue, TCC Board Chairman.  “The selection of the 15th President of Texas Chiropractic College is one of the most important tasks this Board of Regents will undertake,” said Dr. Blue. The successful candidate will be a principled, visionary leader who places quality learning as the college’s highest priority.  They should have a have a strong work ethic, a proven commitment to a collaborative work environment, and an understanding of the needs of the students, faculty and staff that will support the mission of the college.

The Board of regents have chosen specific characteristics and qualifications for TCC’s future president as well as outlined the application process to make it as streamlined as possible.
