TelCentris Adds Social Media and PR Executive Erik Bratt to its Management Team to Help Drive Aggressive Growth Strategy
Former Microsoft Senior Marketer Helped Take Web Analytics Pioneer WebSideStory Through Successful IPO
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TelCentris, a new type of telephony company and the creator of VoxOx, today announced the addition of social media and public relations executive Erik Bratt to its management team. Bratt will serve as Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Bratt has nearly 20 years of communications experience, including a decade in technology marketing and several years in news reporting. Bratt will oversee all strategic communications at TelCentris, including public relations and analyst relations. He will also lead social media marketing strategy.
Bratt recently worked at Microsoft, where he helped lead marketing, public relations and social media initiatives as part of Trustworthy Computing, a division created by founder Bill Gates to promote the company's security and privacy accomplishments on a corporate-wide level. Prior to Microsoft, Bratt served as Director of Corporate Communications at WebSideStory, a web analytics pioneer (acquired by Omniture). In that role, Bratt generated significant publicity and industry recognition for the company's award-winning suite of online marketing optimization services. In Sept. 2004, he helped lead the company through a highly successful IPO. Bratt recently headed up a social media and public relations consulting firm, while also producing best-selling reports on social media marketing for MarketingProfs.com. Bratt started his career as a newspaper reporter for The San Diego Union-Tribune.
"We are excited to have Erik on board as we pursue an aggressive growth strategy focused on delivering innovative unified communications and IP technology services," said Bryan Hertz, CEO and co-founder at TelCentris. "Erik's depth of experience across digital marketing, PR and social media made him an ideal candidate to lead our communications initiatives."
TelCentris has three core product divisions:
-- Universal communications software for consumers - VoxOx is a free,
award-winning desktop software application that unifies today's key
communications channels - voice, video, instant messaging, text, social
networking, email, fax and more - into a single user interface. Users
can make free calls to other VoxOx users via the Internet, or pay just
pennies per minute for off-network calls in the U.S. and
internationally. Users can make calls not only from their computer, but
from any mobile device as well. Given its robust functionality, media
pundits have labeled VoxOx "Skype on Steroids."
-- Business IP phone services - Backed by its state-of-the-art global
network infrastructure, TelCentris provides hosted virtual PBX phone
systems for small and mid-sized businesses looking to upgrade to more
affordable, next generation phone systems. TelCentris also offers hosted
call center support services - a new industry trend that saves
organizations tens of thousands of dollars.
-- Wholesale carrier solutions - Through its Unified Communications Service
Delivery Platform (SDP), TelCentris offers a turnkey, carrier-class
solution that enables telecommunications companies to launch profitable
telecommunications companies in a very short time, while minimizing
upfront expenditures.
"I'm thrilled to be joining TelCentris at this point in their history," Bratt said. "The company is gaining strong momentum as a leader in providing world-class business IP phone services and game-changing consumer applications. I look forward to working with this management team, which has an impressive history of building innovative, technology-driven companies."
