Station Houston Expanding into New Home in Downtown Houston
Secures 25k Square-Foot Space to Scale Hub for Houston Startup Community
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- After an intense, year-long search, Station Houston announced it is expanding into to its new home at 1301 Fannin Street, a Netrality Property located in Downtown Houston. The move marks Station’s expansion into 25,000 square feet of space on the 23rd and 24th floors, with access to even more amenities, event and conference space throughout the building that will help Station deliver on its vision to transform Houston into a world-leading hub for tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
Citing proximity to Downtown’s cultural and sports institutions, multiple public transportation options, and the new Partnership Tower that houses the Greater Houston Partnership and Houston First, Station Co-Founder and CEO, John Reale, sees the new location as ideal to building high-tech startup density in the city.
“Excited is an understatement,” says Reale. “When we launched Station in March, we set out to understand the impact our team could have on early-stage tech startups, and how engaged the community would be to drive innovation. The results have overwhelmingly validated our thesis. This move is in direct response to market demand. Our new location will allow us to provide our Member companies with more services at an awesome facility, in a vibrant and easy-to-access part of the city. Our team, members, mentors and partners are elated about the new space.”
“This is more of what we had in mind when we moved to Houston,” says Lennart Koopmann, Station member and founder of Graylog, Inc., an open-source log management software company. “We’re excited for what this move means for Graylog: With its proximity to the light-rail station, access to nightlife, and the ability to grow the startup community, we can meet more talent, customers, and partners. Through Station, we’ve found one of our team members and gained valuable support to help shape our product and response to customers. We can’t wait for what’s in store at Station 2.0!”
Station Houston’s new address is 1301 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas, 77002. Matt Dickson, Vice President at CBRE, represented Station Houston in the real estate transaction.
