Spirit Airlines Adds More Flights From Latrobe/Pittsburgh

New Nonstop Flights to Chicago's O'Hare Airport to Begin in May

MIRAMAR, Fla., March 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spirit Airlines (Nasdaq: SAVE) continues to add new daily nonstop flights from the Latrobe/Pittsburgh area. Today the first Ultra-low Cost Carrier in the Americas announced new daily service from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport which begins May 7, 2015. This new service will also provide ultra-low fare connecting opportunities from Latrobe/Pittsburgh via Chicago to several Western destinations, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

With these additional routes Spirit Airlines will operate nonstop flights from Latrobe/Pittsburgh to seven cities. Current routes include: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas (starting April 16, 2015), Myrtle Beach, Orlando, and Tampa.

From Chicago, Spirit will operate flights to a total of 23 cities nonstop with this additional route. Current routes from Chicago include: Atlanta, Atlantic City, Baltimore/Washington, DC, Boston, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans, New York, Oakland/San Francisco Bay, Orlando, Philadelphia (starting April 16, 2015), Phoenix, Portland (OR), San Diego (starting April 16, 2015), and Tampa. In addition, Spirit offers connecting service to over 30 more domestic and International cities.
