The popular app helps prepare students for their driver’s exam

COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The South Carolina DMV (SCDMV) Driver’s Practice Exam mobile app was recently recognized by GovLoop as one of “19 of the Coolest Government Mobile Apps.” The app helps students prepare for their driver’s tests or can be used as a refresher for anyone. Released in 2012, the practice test app has been downloaded more than 39,000 times so far.

The SC Driver License Practice Exam app is an interactive app that offers a random series of 15 questions based on S.C. driving laws in a fun and educational way. The free and convenient app helps prepare for the written test required to obtain a driver license. It is also a great tool for those new to the state, parents helping their teen learn to drive, as well as drivers who want a refresher on the rules of the road.

Due to the success of the app, SCDMV implemented an online Web application for the SC Driver’s License Practice Exam available here: https://web.sc.gov/DLPracticeExam/RegDL/StartExam. The mobile app and the Web app were developed through a partnership with South Carolina Interactive, who is responsible for operating, maintaining, and marketing SC.gov, the state’s official website.

The driver license practice test can be downloaded for free through the AppStore and Google Play.
