Sinclair Broadcast Group's Mary Margaret Nelms Named General Manager of the Year

("Sinclair" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: SBGI) is excited to announce that Mary Margaret Nelms, General Manager of WCIV–TV (ABC) in Charleston, South Carolina, has been named the "2015 General Manager of the Year" in markets 51+ by Broadcasting and Cable Magazine.  The annual "General Manager of the Year" award acknowledges and honors local station executives who have "demonstrated exemplary innovation, leadership and flawless execution."

Mary Margaret Nelms has served as General Manager of Sinclair's WCIV–TV (ABC) since 2014.  Beginning in 2002, she joined WTAT–TV (FOX) and WMMP–TV (MNT) in Charleston, SC where she held various management and sales positions, including General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Account Executive.  She was later promoted to General Manager in 2010 of WMMP–TV and was responsible for the oversight of WTAT–TV, which was programmed by Sinclair under a time brokerage agreement.  Prior to that and from 1999, Ms. Nelms was the Corporate Sales Director for the Charleston Battery Professional Soccer Team.  She is a South Carolina native and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Clemson University.
