SANTA CLARA, CA (PRWEB) September 30, 2015

More than 600 global business executives from 45 countries are expected to attend this autumn's LocWorld in Santa Clara, October 14-16. The conference features seven tracks with a special focus on how computers are appearing everywhere and how they are communicating.

LocWorld brings together delegates who are engaged in the business of adapting products, services and communications to an international language or culture so as to appear native to that particular region. Speakers at the conference include representatives from Adobe Systems, Autodesk, Box, eBay, Google, Hewlett-Packard, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Netflix, Salesforce and other notable companies.

The conference, produced by MultiLingual Computing, Inc. and The Localization Institute, will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Scott Amyx, CEO of Amyx+McKinsey, an expert on wearables and the Internet of Things (IoT), will deliver the keynote. Amyx is the coauthor of The Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems Handbook, an academic publication by John Wiley and Sons, scheduled for late 2015. He also writes for a number of publications, including Wired, InformationWeek, IEEE and Wearable Technologies. Amyx was recently voted into the Top25 speakers on Speaking.com.

The preconference day will include round tables on sales and marketing, life sciences business and game localization. There will also be a forum on localization processes, sessions on quality management and more.

"Our preconference events are great for experienced professionals who want to increase their skills and broaden their knowledge," says Ulrich Henes, the conference co-organizer and president of The Localization Institute. "We also offer opportunities for those who are just getting started in the industry."

Attendees may choose from seven tracks during the main conference program: Global Business, Global Web, Content Strategy, Advanced Localization Management, Inside Track, TAUS and Unconference.

Some highlighted presentations include:

   •  The Color Purple: The End of Globalization
   •  Content Strategy in an Augmented Reality World
   •  Global Customer Experience: Trends and Challenges in Balancing Global Messaging and Local Relevancy
   •  Smart Products and Connected Devices Require Intelligent Localized Content
   •  How Wearables and IoT Are Reshaping Customer Engagement

According to Donna Parrish, publisher of the magazine MultiLingual and co-organizer of LocWorld, the event is valuable for people responsible for communicating across the boundaries of language and culture. "Localization is a key component of international business, and LocWorld provides executives with opportunities to learn from leading experts from around the world. They can learn about managing multiple language content, translation tools, quality control and launching websites and products for multiple languages. It also represents an opportunity to review the best products and services in the exhibit hall."

LocWorld29 Silicon Valley sponsors include: Pactera, Lionbridge, SDL, Welocalize, William Blair, CSOFT, Moravia and Vesey Creative.
