Silicon Valley Startup Pooki's Mahi Launches New Environmentally Friendly Packaging For Its 100% Kona Coffee Single Serve Product Line

Pooki's Mahi announced today it launched a new environmentally friendly packaging for its 100% Kona Coffee Single Serve product line. The new packaging enables retailers, wholesalers and distributors to quickly ship products to the customer. Customers will receive 24 units of 100% Kona coffee single serves that is well protected from shipping damages.

"A lot of planning went into Pooki's Mahi's new product line, ECO Single Serves for 100% Kona and 10% Kona flavored coffees. I spent a lot of time listening to Pooki's Mahi's customers, suppliers, manufacturing partners and my executive advisors. The new product line needed a box that protected the ECO single serves and serve as the actual shipper. The cost of the box needed to represent a minimum of 85% cost savings without sacrificing quality or slow down manufacturing," explains Pooki's Mahi's CEO Les Magsalay-Zeller.

Les continues, "Pooki's Mahi's ECO Single Serve product line was a concept in 2012. It has taken nearly three years to launch 11 new 100% Kona and 10% Kona flavored coffees that is 97% biodegradable and individually wrapped."

Pooki's Mahi's new environmentally friendly packaging:

   •  Protects Pooki's Mahi's 100% Kona coffee single serves from shipping damages.
   •  Suited for Pooki's Mahi's ecommerce core business; it issued as the original shipping package
   •  Represents a a 99% cost savings compared to the current packaging which uses existing boxes and a 4mm standup pouch.
   •  Suited for pallets.

Pooki's Mahi's ECO Single Serves and new packaging will debut at a red carpet event.
