Semtech Demonstrates Industry’s First Monolithic Quad CDR and EML Driver for 100G Applications

Company Debuts Integrated Low Power, High-Performance Quad EML Driver with CDR at OFC 2015 as Its Latest Addition to Expansive and Industry-Leading Portfolio Platform

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced the GN2106, a fully integrated quad CDR and EML driver for high performance 100G module applications. The GN2106 is built on Semtech’s industry leading GN2104 quad CDR and adds to Semtech’s full line of quad IC products for 100G modules, including GN1085 quad TIA, GN1185 quad DML driver and GN3485 quad ROSA.

The GN2106 is based on a monolithic design with the CDRs and EML drivers integrated on a single die to help deliver the lower cost structure required to support emerging CFP4 and QSFP28 applications. Leveraging advanced process technology, the single die GN2106 delivers low power and high performance, as well as the high output swings required to drive 25G EML lasers.

The GN2106 will be featured in a live demonstration, showcasing the low power and superior jitter performance, along with Semtech’s new GN3485 100G ROSA at Semtech’s OFC booth from March 24 to March 26.
