SEC Enforcement Partner Joins Norton Rose Fulbright in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Kevin Harnisch, an experienced securities enforcement lawyer, has joined the global law firm as Head of SEC Enforcement of the Washington, DC office.

Harnisch comes to Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner from Steptoe & Johnson LLP. He focuses his practice on securities enforcement defense, internal investigations and anti-corruption matters. He defends a wide range of clients before the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and other self-regulatory organizations, the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and federal courts.

Prior to entering private practice, Harnisch served as branch chief in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, where he led cases involving financial and accounting fraud, market manipulation, insider trading and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). He has represented corporations and their leadership, broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity funds and investment banks.
