Robins & Morton Transforms Former Southern Living Media Services Building for New T-Mobile Financial Care Call Center

Robins & Morton completed a 67,000 SF renovation of the former Southern Living Media Services Building for the New T-Mobile Financial Care Call Center. The project was completed in just five months, including complete demolition of the interior systems, replacement of all windows, a new roof and the addition of 250 parking spaces to accommodate employees.

KP Development's Director of Construction, Jerry Grunzinger, says his firm was excited to develop such a unique building for their customer, T-Mobile USA. "It was truly a team effort all the way around. Robins & Morton substantially completed the original scope, plus over $800,000 of additional work ahead of schedule, allowing the T-Mobile Customer Service and Financial Care Center to open on March 1st. The facility will bring over 300+ new jobs to the City of Birmingham," Grunzinger says.

The facility is a 24 hour operation supported by an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and 900kw emergency generator with redundant power systems. It includes a full service kitchen, fitness area, locker rooms and showers.

Jones Lang LaSalle and local broker Graham & Company worked with KP Development, ElmTree Funds, and T-Mobile to find the best existing property for their new facility.
