Realty Income Closes Common Stock Offering And Underwriters Exercise Full Over-Allotment Option

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Realty Income Corporation (Realty Income, NYSE: O), The Monthly Dividend Company®, today announced the closing of an 11,500,000 share common stock offering, which includes 1,500,000 shares that were purchased by the underwriters upon the exercise of their full over-allotment option. The total net proceeds from the offering, after underwriting discounts and offering expenses payable by the company, are approximately $517 million.

The company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay borrowings under its $2.0 billion unsecured revolving credit facility and for other general corporate purposes and working capital, which may include acquisitions.
