Realtor Steve Hulen Calling All Volunteers for Firekracker 5k

RE/MAX Realtor Steve Hulen is seeking volunteers for the Fort Collins Running Club Firekracker 5k on the 4th of July. "We are willing to make a donation of $250 to your organization if you can provide eight or more folks for the event," said Hulen, volunteer coordinator. "Most of the spots needed are between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. the morning of the race at City Park in Fort Collins."

Proceeds from the event will help support the activities of the Fort Collins Running Club, a non-profit organization that has been promoting fitness through running in the local community since 1971. Funds from the race are also distributed to other non-profit partners that support youth running in the Fort Collins community.

Volunteers on the morning of the Firekracker 5k will be signing up new participants, taking payments, making change, handing out T-shirts and handing out packets to pre-registered runners. They will also offer course support for the Citizens 5k, Elite 5k and Kids Race. "This entails acting as Course Marshals at intersections/corners to help runners stay on route and inside the cones," said Hulen.
