Qualidigm Receives ACHC Certification and Launches New Virtual Consulting Services Program

September 28, 2016 7:10 AM EDT

Wethersfield, Conn (PRWEB) September 28, 2016

Qualidigm, the mission-driven national healthcare consulting company based in Wethersfield, Conn., proudly announces that the Qualidigm Home Health-Hospice Consulting team recently earned certification by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) to provide consulting services. This certification, in tandem with the company's new virtual consulting services, offers home health and hospice agencies convenient, expert assistance in preparation for the anticipated Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) final rule on changes to the Conditions of Participation (CoP) and the pending pre-claim review demonstration.

The ACHC Certification demonstrates competence in survey preparation and comprehensive knowledge of standards and processes for Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty programs, enabling Qualidigm to better support agencies on a national level with their accreditation and Medicare certification efforts. Additionally, Qualidigm's policies, an offering available to agencies nationwide, have also been certified by ACHC. This recognition is timely as home health agencies prepare for their future, including expanded value-based purchasing in several states, upcoming CoP changes, and the Medicare pre-claim review demonstration, which although delayed, remains on the horizon.

These regulatory shifts in home health will require home health agencies to update quality and operational processes, and prepare for pre-claim review documentation requests for all of their Medicare claims. Qualidigm ACHC certified consulting services and available agency policies can prepare home health agencies by providing the necessary tools for agency success in this challenging environment.

In addition to the recent ACHC Certification, Qualidigm recently deployed a virtual consulting services program to support home health and hospice agencies. This innovative remote access consulting approach completes a non-disruptive and cost-effective clinical record review, and provides data analysis and key recommendations. By providing real time data, agencies can implement an efficient and focused Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program with targeted corrective action and performance improvement plans to maintain compliance, facilitate improvement and support regulatory and business stability. This new service line incorporates SMARTAUDIT, Qualidigm's web-based tool that is based on all current federal, accreditation and state licensure requirements. SMARTAUDIT® offers unparalleled access to real time compliance data enabling agencies to pinpoint deficiencies and help prepare for the upcoming revised home health CoPs, which will require an enhanced focus on real time data and quality improvement activities.

"Now more than ever, home health agencies are facing challenges in today's business climate. Stringent federal and state regulations are making it increasingly difficult for agencies to compete and maintain compliance," said Dr. Tim Elwell, Qualidigm president and CEO. "I am proud of our home health consulting team for pursuing and receiving the ACHC Certification to assist home health agencies in navigating these regulations. We are excited to offer our virtual consulting services, leveraging our SMARTAUDIT® program to help home health and hospice agencies stay current with the intensified regulatory environment," said Dr. Elwell.
