SPARTANBURG, S.C., May 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Political and business leaders from across the nation, many representing the Libertarian Party, gathered on May 13 at the Carolina Country Club for a public benefit to eradicate poverty. The night featured both entertainment from Nashville singer/songwriter Galen Griffin, and serious conversation about the nation's economic future. The focus of this rally was a presentation of "Trickle Up" Economics, the revolutionary economic model to build generational wealth and consign poverty to the history books.

"The vision behind Trickle Up Economics is one of a better America, where citizens enjoy prosperity and opportunity like never before," says Libertarian Presidential Candidate Jack B. Robinson, Jr. "The tremendous success and high attendance at the public benefit is a testament to our platform's popular support. At the same time, the political will to effect this kind of change is beginning to coalesce. My goal is to eventually bring together all the political parties and major candidates behind this policy."

Joining Robinson at the recent event were fellow Libertarian Presidential Candidates Rhett Smith, Pastor Shawna Sterling and Melissa Garcia; Libertarian Senate Candidate Dr. Bill Bledsoe; Republican State House Candidate Mike Fowler; South Carolina African American Chamber of Commerce Chairman Stephen L. Gilchrist; and PoliticalJunki CEO Eric Whiteside.

Several political leaders voiced their approval of Trickle Up Economics but were unable to attend the event, including Libertarian Presidential Candidates Mike Shannon, Brian Briggs and Thomas Clements; Independent Presidential Candidate James E. Mitchell; and former Chairman of the Louisiana Libertarian Party Scott Lewis, who proclaimed that this economic model transcends the election itself. Perhaps most encouraging of all is that Trickle Up Economics has earned the support of Kathy Wright – executive director of the National Republican Caucus Super PAC – proving the model's broad appeal.

Just six months after its introduction, Trickle Up Economics has already had a unifying effect, bringing a diverse group of people under a common banner. The model doesn't play into the classist ideologies that have so far done nothing but divide the country and pit citizens against each other. Implementing this economic model would benefit everyone equally, regardless of political party, wealth, race or gender. In essence, Trickle Up Economics would involve a shift of government obligations onto the private sector. The forces of free enterprise would then generate profit, whereas government programs only represented money pits.

The benefit also saw the awarding of several "Birth Loop" scholarships to help deserving young people attend college affordably. One of the important pillars of Trickle Up Economics is to provide scholarships like these to every natural born citizen.

Robinson will be attending the Libertarian National Convention from May 26-30, where delegates will select a candidate to represent the party in the general election for president. He plans to meet personally with delegates to discuss the power of Trickle Up Economics to transform the nation and the world.
