Popular ONUG Academy Returns for ONUG Fall
Hands-On Tutorials Offer Expert Instruction on Operationalizing Open Networking within Cloud Infrastructure
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Open Networking User Group (ONUG) today announced the tutorial program for the Fall Academy on November 3rd at New York University’s Kimmel Center. The ONUG Conference will follow ONUG Academy at the same location on November 4th and 5th.
ONUG Academy differs from the ONUG Conference in that the program is designed specifically to help IT operational teams develop full stack engineering skills. The goal of the ONUG Academy is to provide DevOps, NetOps, StorageOps, and SecOps hands-on instruction and insight into the next steps for operationalizing open networking and software-defined storage.
“The transition to open cloud infrastructure has been a hot topic within the ONUG IT community,” said Nick Lippis, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of ONUG. “The ONUG Academy tutorials aim to help attendees develop new marketable skills that enable them to evaluate new tools and processes for supporting and managing open enterprise cloud infrastructure.”
Each ONUG Academy tutorial is three hours long and attendees can select one morning and one afternoon tutorial from the following offerings:
Morning Tutorials (9am-12pm)
- White Box Networking with Sunay Tripathi of Pluribus Networks
- Wide Area SDN: Technologies and Use Cases with Nick Feamster of Princeton University
Afternoon Tutorials (1pm-4pm)
