PHOENIX, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Phoenix-based U-Haul International, Inc. is reaching out to the Valley for support in saluting the 2009 Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride--Vegas to Phoenix, as we welcome riders to Phoenix during the official landing ceremony on Friday, November 13, 2009, at 1 p.m.

The Wounded Warrior Project recognizes the incredible sacrifices these soldiers have made, and this event is meant to raise public awareness and support for wounded veterans and their families. All donations go to support the programs and services of the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides comfort, aid, counseling, rehabilitation and family assistance to the wounded during their hospital recovery and readjustment to civilian life.

U-Haul will be welcoming special guest speaker Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, who will again be joining us to support the Wounded Warrior Project for the fourth year in a row. U-Haul also will have the privilege of welcoming guest speakers Congressman Harry Mitchell, Mayor Vernon Parker, representing the Governor's office is Mike Klier, deputy director for the Arizona Department of Veterans Services, and Steve Nardizzi, C.E.O. Wounded Warrior Project. Members of United We Sing (formerly the USO Girls of Metropolitan NY) will be performing at the event, and donations will be collected from Americans who wish to show support for these soldiers who have given so selflessly to our country.
