Vayyar earns booth space in Eureka Park Marketplace at CES 2017

TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ announced that Vayyar, a 3D imaging sensor startup based in Israel, was selected as winner of today’s Fast Pitch Contest, which took place as part of CTA’s 20th annual CEO Summit in Tel Aviv, Israel. Of the seven curated Israeli startups who participated in the competition, Vayyar took home the grand prize, a booth within the Eureka Park Marketplace at CES® 2017. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, CES 2017, the global stage for innovation, returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, Thursday, January 5-Sunday, January 8, 2017.

“Israel is a critical tech hub with a booming startup community, so it made sense to host the Fast Pitch Contest here alongside our CEO Summit,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association. “It was incredible to see the diverse range of innovations these Israeli startups brought to the stage, while providing the opportunity to interact with top media from the region along with industry leaders from our delegation of C level executives leading and shaping the tech industry. Congratulations Vayyar. This honor is well-deserved.”

During the Fast Pitch contest, each startup had four minutes to pitch its business/product and one minute to answer questions. Contestants were judged on business model, the product’s likelihood to succeed, assessed market need and aesthetic design and engineering qualities. Results were determined by an audience vote.

Vayyar develops leading-edge 3D imaging sensors, opening the world to a new generation of safe, mobile and low cost imaging devices. The sensors look into objects using technology that breaks through known barriers and brings highly sophisticated imaging capabilities to the user’s fingertips. Vayyar sensors enable an extensive breadth of applications ranging from breast cancer screening to enhanced robot vision, food safety monitoring and many more.

“We are thrilled to have been chosen by the CEO Summit delegation as the Fast Pitch contest winner,” said Raviv Melamed, CEO, Vayyar. “We are excited to share with the world our 3D imaging technology, and use it to change breast cancer medical imaging, smart homes, The Internet of Things (IoT), agritech and much more.”

As the Fast Pitch champion, Vayyar will join an expected 600 companies exhibiting in the Eureka Park Marketplace at CES 2017. Returning to CES for its sixth year, Eureka Park is the flagship startup destination at CES, providing a unique opportunity to launch a new product, service or idea.
