Through this process they have learned to respect each other because they know that the best execution depends on a united group."

Since 2009, the project of Grupo Salinas has created 80 symphony orchestras and 77 choirs where youth can learn through music the values of discipline, the pursuit of excellence, teamwork and respect, while improving self-esteem and inspiring families and communities.

Throughout these five years, Fundación Azteca of Grupo Salinas has created Esperanza Azteca orchestras and choirs throughout Mexico and abroad, thanks to local sponsors, parents, coordinators, teachers and principals, as well as federal, state and local governments.

During the event, Ricardo B. Salinas was recognized, together with teachers, students and staff for their dedication to Esperanza Azteca; and for the first time, the Medal of Merit was awarded to Music Director and Professor Armando Zayas.

Esperanza Azteca's biggest challenge is to grow with excellence and build better human beings through music.
