ONC's Wilkins to Keynote NCPDP 2015 Educational Summit, Meeting Healthcare Needs Through Partnerships, Transparency & Trust

NCPDP, the not-for-profit pharmacy standards development organization, announced today the agenda for its 2015 Educational Summit, "Meeting Healthcare Needs Through Partnerships, Transparency & Trust," which will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Who should attend?
NCPDP's Educational Summit content is intended for all healthcare industry stakeholders, including claims processors, electronic health record (EHR) vendors, health plans, large employer groups, manufacturers, pharmacists, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), pharmacy technicians, physicians, physician assistants, and state and national associations.

Educational Summit Program
The keynote speaker is Tricia Lee Wilkins, Pharm.D., M.S., Ph.D., Pharmacy Advisor and Health IT Specialist, Office of Standards and Technology, Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT. Wilkins' presentation will focus on how ONC and NCPDP are meeting healthcare challenges together.

The Educational Summit will be moderated by John W. Hill, MBA, HCM, Vice President Strategic Relations, Argus Health Systems, Inc. Session topics include a legislative update; FHIR™ (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources); the impact of Medicaid, Medicare, and Part D on standards; compounding and specialized medicine; specialty pharmacy; and prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs).
