Nordstrom Rack To Open In Schererville, Indiana

SEATTLE, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced today plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Shops on Main in Schererville, Indiana. The approximately 25,000-square-foot store will be the second Nordstrom Rack in Indiana and is scheduled to open in spring 2017.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., offering customers a wide selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes at an everyday savings of 30 to 70 percent off regular prices. The Rack carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com, as well as specially purchased items from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom. The Rack is designed to provide the ultimate treasure hunt to style-savvy customers.

Nordstrom Rack is a part of an expansion of Shops on Main that already includes Whole Foods Market, DSW, Pier 1 Imports, HomeGoods, Carraba's Italian Grill, Carter's and Chico's.

The new store will be the second Nordstrom Rack in Indiana joining Rivers Edge in Indianapolis and the 14th Nordstrom Rack in the greater Chicagoland area. The company also operates four full-line stores in the greater Chicago area, including a flagship store on Michigan Avenue.
