NEWARK, N.J., July 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In partnership with the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC), the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District (LPCCD) will host its 2nd Annual Rooftop Cocktail Fundraiser. The event will be held on Wed., July 15, 2015, at The Robert Treat Hotel, 50 Park Place, Newark, New Jersey. The fundraiser is a lively kick-off to the upcoming 10th Anniversary of the Lincoln Park Music Festival. Funds raised help keep the annual 3-day event free to the public.  LPCCD understands that the festival has grown in scope and stature, so it's their goal to keep the festival an accessible community-building experience.

The Newark CEDC is the primary economic development catalyst for the City of Newark.  It's organized to retain, attract and grow businesses, enhance small and minority business capacity, and spur real estate development throughout the City's 20 diverse neighborhoods.

"The Newark Community Economic Development Corporation is excited to partner with the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District for the 10th Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival that will support the economic growth of the City of Newark," says Kevin Seawright, Newark CEDC's Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, of the event.

"The events are a wonderful way for the city to celebrate both culture and the arts," Kevin Seawright said. "We support our community partnerships and a free festival for all citizens to embrace."

Fundraiser guests will enjoy a warm rooftop breeze with refreshments and appetizers courtesy of Fedway and Commerce Downtown Kitchen with music spun by DJ Ezrah Khalil. Appearing is critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Russell Taylor and Newark's own alternative R&B vocalist, songwriter, Peter Winstead, Jr., who has been touted by BET, DJ Booth, AllHipHop.com, AOL Black Voices, and Centric.

"For the past ten years LPCCD has been able to put on this 3-day musical experience at no cost to the public," says Anthony Smith, executive director of the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District. "With the continued financial support of our sponsors, donors, and community, we hope to keep it that way. We are asking all who love music and the arts, to please attend the fundraiser and give generously so that we can continue to enjoy the free sounds of the Lincoln Park Music Festival for many years to come," Smith continued.

Tickets are $45 and attendees must be 21 and over to attend the fundraiser.  For advance tickets, go to https://lpmf10rooftop.splashthat.com.  As rooftop space is limited, it is advised to purchase tickets by July 14th. Limited walk up tickets will be available at check in.
