New Mother’s Day Collection from (aden + anais)RED Continues the Fight for an AIDS-Free Generation

April 28, 2016 11:00 AM EDT

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In honor of Mother’s Day, global baby brand aden + anais is ramping up its ongoing efforts to support (RED) and the critical work of the Global Fund to end mother-to-child HIV transmission. The newest (aden + anais)RED Collection features best-selling muslin must-haves, including swaddles, bibs and blankets, with 10% of each item’s retail price going towards providing lifesaving ARV medication and treatment to HIV+ pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa. When taken daily, ARV medication reduces the risk of HIV transmission from moms to their babies to just 2%.

aden + anais was born out of a mother’s need to care for her baby, so when (RED) first approached aden + anais Founder and CEO, Raegan Moya-Jones, in 2014 about a partnership that would impact mothers and babies worldwide, the decision was a no-brainer. “The will of a mother to protect her child is one that hits close to home for me,” explained Moya-Jones. “As a mum, how could I not contribute to something as impactful as preventing the transmission of HIV from mother to child?”

Two years later, (aden + anais)RED products have helped provide the equivalent of 300,000+ days of lifesaving medication plus other services to help HIV+ moms give birth to HIV-free babies. But there is still more work to be done. Every day, more than 600 children are born with HIV. Together, we can continue to help get that number to zero.

In hopes of maximizing the potential impact of the partnership and drive as many contributions to the Global Fund as possible, the latest (aden + anais)RED Collection features the brand’s highest-selling items in beloved prints from the original 2014 aden + anais x (RED) collaboration. Available at adenandanais.com and at key distributors in the USA, the special edition collection includes a four-pack of swaddle blankets ($49.95), a two-pack of burpy bibs ($22.00), a three-pack of snap bibs ($19.95), and an adult-sized daydream blanket ($99.95)—all in aden + anais’ soft, breathable 100% cotton muslin that newborns love, toddlers adore, and expecting parents consider a baby registry essential. By surrounding babies with the comfy goodness of muslin, we can all help provide moms-to-be with their first true Mother’s Day gift: lifesaving medicine that will give their babies the chance to be born HIV free.
