NPR's Tamara Keith to Talk Presidential Politics with Sacramento Press Club

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NPR White House reporter Tamara Keith will be in Sacramento August 29 to speak to the Sacramento Press Club about her experience and observations covering the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Keith has been in her current role as a NPR White House Correspondent since January 2014. She is also a native Californian and a former member of the Sacramento Press Club.

While in college, Keith launched her career at NPR Member Station KQED's California Report, covering topics including agriculture and the environment. In 2004, she began working at NPR Member Station WOSU in Columbus, Ohio, where she reported on politics and the 2004 presidential campaign. Keith went back to California to open the state capital bureau for NPR Member Station KPCC/Southern California Public Radio. In 2006, Keith returned to KQED, serving as the Sacramento-region reporter for two years. She began covering congress in 2011, and covered candidates Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, and Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race.

Keith earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree at the UCB Graduate School of Journalism.
