Missouri Justice Alliance Launches at Capitol

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Missouri Justice Alliance, a project of the Missouri Chamber Legal Foundation will hold a public launch at the Missouri State Capitol at 10am Wednesday, April 30. The press conference will be held in the House Lounge and feature several speakers including the Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Justice Alliance partners and featured guest Chris Manning.

Manning has received worldwide notoriety for his successful role defending a family dry cleaning business from a $67 million lawsuit stemming from a lost pair of pants.

The Missouri Justice Alliance is a partnership of more than 20 Missouri businesses and associations supporting legal reform, specifically HB 2241, which is currently in the House Judicial Committee. HB 2241 would seek to curb frivolous lawsuits like the 'Great American Pants Suit' referenced above.
