Mettrum Launches Industry First Physician Portal and Provides Business Update

March 16, 2015 8:03 AM EDT

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/16/15 -- Mettrum Health Corp. ("Mettrum") (TSX VENTURE: MT)(TSX VENTURE: MT.WT), a vertically integrated producer and distributer of medical cannabis products, is pleased to announce the launch of its new Physician/Client Portal and online store.

Physician/Client Portal and Online Store Latest Applications Developed by Mettrum to Help Create Responsible Dialogue and Visibility Throughout the Prescription Process:

Mettrum has launched a new online portal that dramatically simplifies the registration process for physicians and their patients. Using the portal, physicians can easily and instantly register, review and renew their patients' medical documents online, recommend specific strains and ensure accuracy of information during the registration process. Furthermore, physicians now have access to a centralized and secure patient database where they can monitor, in real time, the quantities and strains their patients are purchasing. This addresses a common concern among physicians that they have limited visibility into what their patients are actually purchasing and how much they are consuming. As a web based application, no installation is necessary. Physicians can sign up instantly at www.mettrum.com and have immediate access to their existing medical cannabis patients already signed up with Mettrum and can add new patients in a matter of minutes.

The Physician Portal was developed in response to concerns from physicians that find the registration process onerous and/or feel they do not have enough control over the strains their patients are ordering or the strength of the product. Physicians using the Portal can now choose to recommend a strain and even insist on a strength based on the percentage, by weight, of two cannabinoids, THC and CBD, which licensed producers are required to measure and publish on their products.

In addition, once a client is registered with Mettrum, they will immediately have the ability to place a medical cannabis order at anytime, seven days a week. Similar to the centralized system available to physicians, registered clients can review their order history, including strain selection and frequency of orders at any time. The online store calculates Mettrum's 30/30 Assisted Pricing Program discounts for qualified clients. Already, almost a third of orders are being transacted on-line. Clients can still order directly from one of Mettrum's Customer Service Representatives over the phone every day of the week.

The Client Portal was designed to simplify and increase the overall efficiency and accuracy of the registration and purchasing processes. The portal monitors and tracks the progress of an individual physician or client during their respective registration process, and provides actionable data, which is used to deliver better service to both groups on an ongoing basis.

"Mettrum is committed to helping physicians and their patients responsibly consider medical cannabis as a viable treatment," said Michael Haines, Chief Executive Officer of Mettrum. "Starting with the Mettrum Spectrum, we were the first company to simplify the strain selection process and create a dialogue around medical cannabis based on the strength and ratio of THC to CBD. We believe this is the responsible way to talk about medical cannabis. Now, the Mettrum Portal simplifies the registration and ordering process, while providing historical and real time visibility into what our clients are ordering and how much."

Commercial Operations and Expansion at Agripharm:

As previously announced, Mettrum received its second production license under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (the "MMPR") from Health Canada on December 11, 2014, for its Agripharm facility. Since then, AgriPharm has completed three harvests and the first product is expected to be available for sale later this month. As a result of the added production, Mettrum has been on-boarding new clients.

The license granted to AgriPharm was based on 12 grow rooms installed at the facility at the time. AgriPharm is in the process of installing another 36 grow rooms which are expected to be completed during the second quarter of calendar 2015. Mettrum will apply for an amendment to the AgriPharm license to reflect this additional capacity and production requirement.

"With AgriPharm licensed, producing and contributing to our inventory and variety of products we're happy to once again be accepting and servicing new clients along with our existing clients," said Haines. "Mettrum has a unique physician-centric approach and we are proud of what our team has accomplished in building and launching an innovative, data driven organization."
