Mammogram Technologies are Discussed on "Front Page Profile" with James Earl Jones

While James Earl Jones is known for myriad roles on stage and screen, he has recently been serving as host for in a show called "Front Page". One of the forthcoming episodes examines mammogram techniques; a very important part of preventative medicine.
In recent years, breast cancer rates have plummeted in large part due to early detection. Like any other disease, treatments have a much higher chance of success if caught early. There are several screening exams that have become a central part of preventative medicine. Colonoscopies are used for colon cancer screening. EKGs are used to examine the health of the heart. Mammograms are used for the detection of breast cancer. As modern medicine has progressed, there are several different techniques that have been tried over the years to improve detection, cut costs, and ultimately give as many women as possible access to this vital medical tool. If breast cancer is caught early, it can be diagnosed quickly and treated appropriately. This gives every patient the best chance possible for a healthy and successful recovery. This new program will highlight these efforts and the people affecting development in these technologies.
