LRAD Corporation Receives $700,000 Follow-On Orders for LRAD 360X Mass Notification Systems

SAN DIEGO, May 12, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), the world's leading provider of long range acoustic devices and advanced mass notification systems, today announced $700,000 in orders for LRAD 360X systems and accessories for a country in Asia replacing and upgrading its tsunami warning system to include LRAD's highly intelligible voice capability. The order is part of an ongoing rollout of LRAD 360X installations into additional cities and towns. The order is scheduled for delivery this fiscal year. "Traditional high powered speaker arrays sound sirens to warn, but are inadequate for broadcasting specific, potentially lifesaving instructions due to their limited voice capacity," remarked Tom Brown, President and CEO of LRAD Corporation. "LRAD-powered ONE VOICE systems broadcast warning sirens and voice messages with 360° coverage and exceptional vocal clarity, longevity and reliability."
