Kongsberg Geospatial Announces Platform Rebranding and New Product Lineup, Introduces TerraLens
(PRWEB) July 28, 2016
Kongsberg Geospatial, an Ottawa-based developer of real-time, mission critical, geospatial and Command and Control software, announced today that they are rebranding their InterMAPhics geospatial software platform as TerraLens.
For over 20 years, InterMAPhics has been the leading Geospatial and mapping SDK for Mission-Critical applications. InterMAPhics has now been rebranded as TerraLens®, and Kongsberg Geospatial's other product offerings have been simplified and unified under the TerraLens name.
"This was purely a branding and marketing decision," explained company president Ranald McGillis. "InterMAPhics is now TerraLens, while InterView has been renamed TerraLens UI, and InterCOM DDS is simply called Kongsberg DDS. We have decided to update and modernize our product names, and to use a more functional naming scheme that makes their purpose clear."
The platform functionality and performance has't changed: only the name. The company will continue to support all legacy versions of InterMAPhics, and we'll continue to introduce exciting new features and capabilities in new releases of the TerraLens platform. To avoid confusion, product and release numbering will remain the same as before.
