Kansas City Business Journalist Announces American Innovation Tour(TM)
2010 Business Drive Time(TM) Tour To Showcase Business Innovators on a National Stage
KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NeuVision(R) Group and nationally recognized business journalist Jay Liebenguth are proud to announce the 2009-2010 Business Drive Time(TM) "American Innovation Tour." Following last year's successful 3,500-mile tour interviewing business leaders and innovators in 25 U.S. cities, this tour will depart this week from Kansas City and will continue through 2010 as an ongoing journey across the United States.
According to Dave E. Anderson, president and founder of NeuVision Group, a new products consulting firm based in Leawood, Kan., the upcoming tour will highlight some of the most innovative companies, products, and business leaders in the country. It also will feature key metropolitan areas that have done a superior job of fostering new business growth and innovation. Last year's tour garnered the attention of national and international media including BusinessWeek, Forbes, Bloomberg, CNBC, MarketWatch, Yahoo Investor, EuroInvestor, and more.
"Innovation is one of the primary catalysts with the power to reignite new business growth in the U.S. economy, and we want to recognize key leaders who are fostering that innovative spirit within the business community," Anderson says. "We're excited to be working with Jay as he does what he does best - helping business leaders and innovators tell their unique and inspiring stories in the marketplace."
"With the Business Drive Time(TM) American Innovation Tour, we will definitely be on the lookout for the next major trends and tomorrow's hot new products, but we won't limit our search to the next iPhone(R)," Liebenguth says. "We will also give visibility to the extraordinary leaders in small towns and major cities across America who are committed to making business happen every day, commercializing new ideas, and creating new jobs for the willing and the enthused."
Over the past several years, Liebenguth has conducted interviews with hundreds of businesses and business leaders. Notable interviews have included leaders and former leaders from companies like Medtronic, 3M, Bernstein Rein, Nordstrom, Sprint, YRC (Yellow and Roadway), NASCAR, Google, LinkedIn, 1-800-GotJunk, VML, KUKA Robotics, Lockton, Inc., H&R Block, Nextel International, Harvard Business School, and more.
During this year's tour, Jay will also leave plenty of time for the interesting stories about tomorrow's great American innovators, hoping to discover the next Benjamin Franklin, the next Bill Gates, the next Art Fry (3M inventor of Post-It Notes(R)), and the next Thomas Edison.
It seems only fitting that the Business Drive Time tour originates from the geographic center of American business, Kansas City. From there, Jay will join NeuVision Group and other business leaders in a year-long, nationwide pursuit of all things new, inventive, successful, and growing in American business.
While industry has endured a protracted business downturn, there are some early signs of economic progress. NeuVision Group's Anderson believes American business will emerge strong. "We believe the unbridled spirit of American innovation is at the heart of new business growth, and will be a critical element in driving us out of recession. Innovation and new ideas, coupled with capital, leadership, manufacturing, and labor, have helped create what is great about our business economy."
These are the stories we will discover and highlight during the American Innovation Tour: the American businesses and business leaders who will be the architects of the next Golden Era in our economy. Take this journey of discovery and excitement with us at Business Drive Time.
