Kanga Wins Best Start Up in Atlanta

Atlanta-based Kanga, the first SaaS-based platform for management of last mile, on-demand delivery, was awarded Best Start Up in Atlanta by General Assembly Atlanta. Six companies competed in the Start Up Battle including Calend.ly, GottaGolf, LOV, Ticket Alternative, and TripTap. T General Assembly presented the award in front of a crowd of over 500 at their Atlanta Launch Party at Ponce City Market.

Kanga is a SaaS-based web and mobile platform for initiating, managing and tracking last mile deliveries that gives enterprises the opportunity to capture new revenues and build increased loyalty. Kanga's technology extends the enterprise's brand the last mile and allows the business to seamlessly incorporate delivery as part of the omni-channel experience. Kanga's delivery platform can be used with a variety of delivery methods, including crowd-sourced and in-house fleets.

In addition to winning the Digital Battle, Kanga also won the Crowd Favorite award, for pitches presented at the event. The winner of the Digital Battle earned a scholarship for classes at General Assembly.

"Kanga knocked it out of the ball park with their #GetCassidyCoding campaign which encouraged people to help Cassidy Williams, Kanga's Community Manager, achieve her career goal of becoming a developer."

Established in early 2011, General Assembly is a global community of individuals empowered to pursue work they love, by offering full-time immersive programs, long-form courses, and classes and workshops on the most relevant skills of the 21st century. As one of fourteen campuses across four continents, General Assembly's Atlanta campus offers classes and workshops in topics including web development, user experience design, business fundamentals, data science, product management, and digital marketing.
