Journalists Invited to Attend SAE International 2016 Transmission and Driveline Technologies Symposium

Journalists are invited to attend the SAE 2016 Transmission and Driveline Technologies Symposium, which will be held Oct. 17-19 at the Marriott Ann Arbor Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The technical program will include business and technical sessions highlighting the latest innovations of the design, manufacture and operation of these systems in the passenger car and heavy duty markets.

This year's program will address the direction of the industry, along with technologies under development to meet emission regulations, improvements in fuel efficiency, and customer satisfaction as it relates to the drivability and performance of their vehicles.

Sessions include a keynote address from Robert Fischer of AVL North America Inc., an SAE Standards Update, Lightweighting, Autonomous Vehicles, New Transmission Technology Components, Hybrid and Electric Drives, and a two-part session on Controls and Simulation.

The technical expert panel will focus on Achieving Total Vehicle Efficiency at the Component Level. Panelists include Michael P. Kirk of FCA US LLC, Ram Krishnaswami of Ford Motor Co., Ltd., Seth Metzger of Dana Holding Corp. and Christopher P. Thomas of BorgWarner.
