Ixia Integrates ControlTower with Cisco Nexus Switches to Deliver a Scalable, Reliable Visibility Architecture

Ixia to Showcase Integration at Cisco Live 2016

CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ixia, a leading provider of network testing, visibility, and security solutions, announced an enhanced version of ControlTower TM that seamlessly integrates with Cisco’s Nexus 3000 switches to improve reliability and reduce total cost of ownership of network visibility for customers. Ixia will demonstrate this integration at Cisco Live (Booth #3019) in Las Vegas 2016, July 10th – 14th, 2016.

Ixia’s ControlTower solution, a key component of Ixia’s IxVision™ Architecture, is an advanced network visibility resource for centralized, intelligent monitoring that helps organizations achieve end-to-end visibility within their physical, virtual, and software-defined networks (SDN). The distributed architecture provides network administrators access to monitoring and diagnostic tools from any point in the network. ControlTower helps accelerate application delivery and enables effective troubleshooting for enhanced network security, application performance, and SLA fulfillment. It also provides vendor-agnostic centralized integration enabling end-to-end network monitoring and visibility for customers deploying Cisco switches as well as other vendors’ networking infrastructure.

Cisco Nexus switches use a common programmatic interface. At Cisco Live 2016, Ixia will demonstrate how Ixia ControlTower enables network administrators to dynamically repartition Cisco switch ports between production switching and visibility enablement. As a result, customers can optimize infrastructure utilization and reduce overall visibility costs. In addition, Ixia will show how network packet brokers, including the recently launched Vision ONE TM, allow administrators to improve scalability and flexibility of network visibility deployments, while providing advanced management and packet processing features that further enhance the flexibility and reliability provided by Cisco production switches.
