PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 10, 2015

"Over the years, I have heard a lot of stories about people getting lost in the woods and at sea," said an inventor, from Sarasota, Fla. "I thought there needed to be a better way for lost or injured people to signal for help, so I invented this." He invented the patent-pending SURVIVOR FLARE to assist climbers, hikers, divers, boaters and others.

The SURVIVOR FLARE enables an outdoor enthusiast to signal for help in the event of an emergency on sea or land. In doing so, it provides an effective way for emergency rescue personnel to locate an individual. As a result, it enhances safety and it could help to prevent injuries. The invention features a portable and lightweight design that requires no setup and is convenient and easy to use by both children and adults. It is ideal for use by scouts, mountain climbers, open-water divers, hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, families, etc. Additionally, the SURVIVOR FLARE is easy to carry and store when not in use, and could be sold over the counter in most stores.

The inventor described the invention design, "My design assists rescue personnel in locating individuals in an outdoor emergency situation over sea or land."

The original design was submitted to the Tampa office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
