InventHelp Inventor Develops Safety Aid for Road Crews (CCP-928)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) May 23, 2015
"At my job, we had reports of men nearly getting hit by passing vehicles as they were exiting the cab of their truck or pulling equipment from side bins," said an inventor from La Porte, Ind. "My invention sets up an immediate safety zone that motorists will recognize instantly."
He developed the TRUCK SAFETY GATE to alert motorists to a stopped utility/work truck or other vehicles stopped at the roadside. The unit features a highly visible design that can be seen easily day or night. The invention reduces the risk of workers being struck or killed by motorists in order to enhance personal safety. The device is easily adaptable for use on different work trucks. Additionally, it provides added peace of mind to road crews. A model also is available for standard automobiles.
The inventor went on to say, "This would provide advanced warning to approaching motorists of the potential danger so that workers were not accidentally overlooked, struck and killed while working along the road edge."
The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
