InterDigital Chief Technology Officer Named to Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions Board of Directors

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, today announced that its Executive Vice President, InterDigital Labs, and Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Byung K. Yi, has been named to the board of directors of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2016.

ATIS’ Board of Directors provides insight into the future of ICT by bringing together the industry’s top minds to interact in a variety of forums.  Dr. Yi brings a strong history of leadership to the board with more than 30 years of advanced wireless development experience. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of the Telecommunications Industry Association and previously served on the board of directors and steering committees of several professional organizations, including the Center for Wireless Communications and the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 Technical Specification Group.
