Harmony Health Plan Reminds Illinois Medicaid Recipients to Complete Annual Redetermination to Maintain Eligibility

CHICAGO and TAMPA, Fla., July 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing that health insurance can make a striking difference in the quality of life for children and their families, Harmony Health Plan, Inc., a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), is supporting the Illinois Medicaid Redetermination Project (IMRP) in increasing awareness of the requirement for Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Medicaid recipients to renew eligibility for themselves and their children each year.

IMRP notifies each Illinois Medicaid member that their eligibility is expiring two weeks in advance of mailing the redetermination forms. Members must update their and their children's information, and return the redetermination forms within 30 days to continue to qualify for Medicaid coverage. If IMRP does not receive the information before their eligibility expires, members are at risk of losing their health care coverage.
