Halton Regional Police Service Receives 2016 Computerworld Data+ Editors' Choice Award for Use of Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure Software

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Halton Regional Police Service of Ontario, Canada, has been named a 2016 Computerworld Data+ Editors' Choice Award honoree for its use of Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure software. To better manage growing demand on public safety services, Halton Regional Police Service created a new Police Analytics unit with a mandate to exploit data to make policing more efficient and effective. Armed with monthly, quarterly and annual performance measures, the agency quantifies officer activities, allowing supervisors to better determine how to allocate teams to improve public safety.
