Haiku Learning and PowerSchool Collaborate to Deliver Seamless Integration Between Learning Platform and Student Information System

Goshen, IN (PRWEB) June 29, 2015

Haiku Learning, a renowned K-12 digital learning platform and Pearson, the world's leading learning company, are joining forces through an independent software vendor (ISV) partnership agreement to integrate Haiku Learning's learning platform and Pearson's PowerSchool student information system. The two-way integration streamlines the transfer of student data between the two systems, freeing teachers and administrators from performing duplicate entry in the two systems.

PowerSchool, the most widely used web-based student information system, supports more than 13 million students globally. PowerSchool enables today's educators to make timely decisions that impact student performance while creating a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together in preparing 21st century learners for the future.

"This integration helps schools maximize the benefits of their existing enterprise systems by delivering a seamless interoperability between the two," said Bryan Falcón, CEO of Haiku Learning. "Ensuring that data is delivered automatically and securely, without duplication, saves a lot of time--and potentially a lot of headaches--for teachers and administrators who would otherwise do some of the work manually."

This bi-directional integration automatically imports users, classes, and rosters from PowerSchool into Haiku Learning, so administrators can instantly create classes in Haiku Learning. The imports happen automatically, so rosters are always up-to-date with the latest additions, transfers, and deletions.

Then grades are pushed back automatically from Haiku Learning into the PowerTeacher Gradebook, so teachers don't have to maintain grades in two different systems, saving them time and preventing possible data-entry errors.

Vice President of Product and Marketing Oliver Wreford said, "The integration of PowerSchool and Haiku Learning provides teachers with an efficient method for leveraging PowerSchool data to create classes and update rosters in real-time, allowing teachers to focus on what matters most – student learning."
