Greenberg Traurig Participates In Americas Society/Council of the Americas Women's Hemispheric Network Conference in Mexico

José Raz Guzmán, Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig's Mexico City office, participated as a panelist during the recent Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA) Women's Hemispheric Network conference which took place on Nov. 9 in Mexico City, Mexico. Carmina Mogollón and Cecilia Quintanilla, Of Counsels of Greenberg Traurig's Mexico City office, joined Raz Guzmán as table leaders during the conference.

Raz Guzmán, Mogollón, Quintanilla, and conference participants, gathered to discuss the importance of women in leadership positions, and gender diversity in Mexico's labor force. Raz Guzman's panel offered a male perspective on working with and for women. The panel included McKinsey & Co.'s Director and Managing Partner of the Mexico City office, Eduardo Bolio; SENER's Undersecretary of Electricity, César Hernández Ochoa; and UBS AG's Head of Wealth Management for Latin America and the Caribbean, Alexander G. van Tienhoven. Amy Glover, Director of McLarty Associates, moderated the panel discussion.

The Americas Society/Council of the Americas Women's Hemispheric Network encourages rising young professional women between the ages of 22 and 35 to stay in the workforce and reach leadership positions. The Network launched in October 2012 at a New York workshop featuring former President of Chile and then-Executive Director of UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, Michelle Bachelet and former First Lady of Mexico Margarita Zavala.

Raz Guzman's practice focuses on financial and M&A transactions. He handles various matters involving capital markets, banking, real estate and mergers and acquisitions. He works with issuers, underwriters and investors in public and private offerings of equity, debt, structured instruments, Fibras, CKDs and securitizations.

Carmina Mogollón's practice focuses on data protection and privacy matters. She also has significant experience in a variety of commercial matters involving compliance and transactional issues in the technology, e-commerce and manufacturing industries.

Cecilia Quintanilla's practice focuses on general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, banking, business reorganization, financial restructuring, public contracting, and project finance. She is experienced with public work dispute resolution and public and private investment projects in the real estate, infrastructure and oil industries.
