Greenberg Traurig's Tom K. Ara to Speak at the 6th Annual International Film Finance Forum

Tom K. Ara, an Entertainment and Media shareholder at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the Sixth Annual International Film Finance Forum titled, "Exploring Global Strategies for Film Financing, Risk Mitigation and New Distribution Avenues." The forum takes place Friday, May 15, 2015, in Cannes, France.

According to the Film Finance Forum's website (F3), the Cannes forum will feature producers, distributors, financiers, agents, and executives who have worked on exceptional films and focus on key topics of discussion, such as content versus talent; staying ahead of the new co-production curve; and selling films and making money in the on-demand age. Ara will be moderating a panel entitled, "Breaking into China: Power Players and Strategic Partnership Opportunities" from 4-5 p.m. CET, featuring such panelists as Yansong Li, president of iQiyi Pictures, and Jeffrey Chan, COO of Bona Film Group.

Ara focuses his practice on entertainment and media industry transactions. He represents an array of banks, private equity groups, hedge funds, and investors and borrowers in an assortment of financing and strategic industry transactions.
