Gary Davenport Joins Ramtech Building Systems as Project Architect and Design Project Manager

Mansfield, Texas-based Ramtech Building Systems, the Southwest's premier design-build construction firm for relocatable modular buildings and prefabricated permanent construction, has hired commercial modular building industry veteran Gary Davenport as the company's Project Architect and Design Project Manager. Davenport comes to Ramtech from the Atlanta area where he was previously Vice President of Design and Construction for Spectrum Building Systems, a builder of prefabricated modular and site built projects primarily in the Southeastern U.S. "We are delighted to welcome Gary Davenport in the dual role of Project Architect and Design Project Manager," said Linc Moss, Ramtech Building System's president. "Gary is one of the commercial modular industry's most respected and talented architects and he will bring a wealth of design and project management experience to our permanent modular construction projects."

Davenport joins Ramtech at a pivotal time for the company as it seeks to grow both its traditional permanent modular construction and Accelerated Building System (ABS) prefabricated building process. In his new role, Davenport will focus on Ramtech's larger more sophisticated design-build projects, and will be the primary point of contact with the owners and the respective permitting bodies during the design and permitting phase of specific projects. He will also provide sales support by participating in the development of project proposals and sales presentations.

Davenport's career began as a project architect at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in New York City, then later moving to become the Director of Architecture, Engineering and Quality Control at Kullman Industries, one of the commercial modular building industry's most highly respected companies. He also served as Vice President of Architecture and Design for Space Master Building Systems, and as a principal at third party design review agency Modular Code Consultants. His vast project experience includes clients across several industries including the design and construction of secure United States Embassy facilities for the Federal Government. Davenport has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is an active member of the AIA. He also holds NCARB and LEED certifications and is a registered architect in both Texas and Louisiana.
