FirstMerit Bank Launches External Transfer Service, a Convenient and Secure Way to Transfer Money Between FirstMerit Accounts and Non-FirstMerit Accounts

AKRON, Ohio, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstMerit Corp. (Nasdaq: FMER) announced its external transfer service, which allows consumer and small business customers to transfer money between FirstMerit deposit accounts and accounts held at other financial institutions. The convenient and secure service is available through both FirstMerit's Online Banking and Mobile Banking iPhone and Android Apps, giving customers the ability to manage finances with increased control and flexibility. Transfers can be set up as recurring or one-time only transactions.
